Google Search is the most used search engine on the World Wide Web and they are constantly working towards lowering the rank of low-quality sites and returning higher-quality sites near the top of the search results. In February 2011 Google introduced Google Panda, named after engineer Navneet Panda, to the world. Google Panda is a ranking factor that has been added to the search algorithm, it serves as a filter that identifies what Google believes to be 'low quality pages'. Basically Google Panda's purpose is to reduce spam search results. If Google Panda believes that there are too many low quality pages they will flag your site.
