Google Joins the Social Media Bandwagon
Google revealed its version of social networking to the world last week. Google Buzz, has certainly created a buzz throughout the World Wide Web. Within a matter of hours after the conference launch, Google Buzz was firing through the news feeds.
Google Buzz is an online social feature that is built into your Gmail account. It allows you to access the friends you already have listed, preventing the need to start from scratch. Throughout the week, Google has been administering Buzz to all of its Gmail accounts. Buzz lets you share quick information, photos, videos and links with the people you chat and message the most. All of this conversing will appear in "real time," for much faster personal communication. It conveniently connects you with social medias that you may already have, like Twitter, Flickr and Picasa.
If you would rather not have this feature, you have to opt out when it asks for your permission. If you choose to accept it, it will appear under your Inbox button. Google Buzz is also available via your mobile phone, which you can access at buzz.google.com. By using your mobile phone, you have the option of using your location to search topics, events or venues relevant to the area you are in.
Buzz is still being improved. It will soon have features that will work great with businesses and schools.
